KnowBe4 allows for the export of security awareness training content for delivery via LMS systems. This export functionality enables KnowBe4 customers to obtain training content that can then be assigned and delivered in Slack with Haekka.

According to KnowBe4, training content can be exported as either video or SCORM files. Haekka supports both and can ensure both are formatted correctly in Slack.

Step-by-Step Guide to Bring KnowBe4 Training to Slack

It only takes a few minutes to launch KnowBe4 training in Slack with Haekka.

  1. Choose the training content you want to export from KnowBe4.
  2. Follow the instructions here to export the training content from the KnowBe4 ModStore.
  3. Go to the Haekka Dashboard and navigate to the Catalog on the left-hand side.
  4. Add a Blank Template Training. Below are suggested settings for annual, graded, security training:
  1. Confirm Selection. This will create a new blank training. You can now add lessons based on the KnowBe4 training you choose to export.
  2. For each lesson, you can add multiple questions from the KnowBe4 questions.
  3. For KnowBe4 video content, you can upload the MP4 video file to the lesson, paste a link to the video in the lesson content, or paste a link to the video in the video field (this last option will ensure the video shows up at the top of the lesson.

That’s it. You have imported KnowBe4 training into Slack with Haekka. You can now assign the training to individuals, channels, or your entire Slack instance. Haekka will handle formatting so the security awareness training content from KnowBe4 is displayed correctly in Slack. Haekka will also manage reminders to ensure training is completed by the due date. And, all evidence for audits will be available to admins from the Heakka dashboard.
