Welcome to Haekka!

Our team spent the last 6 years making the public cloud, namely AWS, compliant for healthcare data. Along the way, we learned the ins and outs of operating a modern, remote technology company in a highly regulated industry. We experienced the pain, first-hand, of having to 1) write and maintain policies and procedures for modern (cloud and SaaS) technology, 2) execute those policies and procedures day-to-day across our remote workforce, and 3) prove our compliance during audits and security assessments. 

We came to realize that keeping promises to our customers was essential to doing business. We kept our promises by executing our policies and procedures. But, this was a continuous heavy-lift for dev, dev ops, QA, sales, ops, and HR.

At Haekka, we want to solve this pain. Our vision is for customers to hire Haekka to solve security awareness and privacy training in totality. Through integrations and proven workflows between modern tools like Slack, we will automate an entire security awareness program without forcing employees to context switch from app-to-app. In the process, we will elevate trust in our customers.

• Product - we’re launching this summer with compliance, privacy, and security training in Slack. Training is essential to following privacy policies, securing data, and passing audits; but, it’s broken today - it’s ineffective, a chore for employees, mostly irrelevant to modern work, and packaged and priced for large companies. We’re fixing compliance training by delivering adaptive, engaging question-based training for modern work from the convenience of Slack, with evidence for audits created automatically.
• Guides - compliance is opaque. Building and maintaining a compliance and privacy program is daunting, especially for modern technology companies. It doesn’t have to be. We’ve spent years knee deep in compliance for modern technology, and been through 1,000s of audits and security assessments, and we’re pulling back the curtain on compliance for modern work.
• Blog - we like to write. It’s part of our culture and operating principles. We post regularly about our market (compliance for tech companies), startups, fundraising, and tools we use to build and manage a remote company.
